The First State Angels are constantly looking for prospective members who will be active investors and participants in selecting and mentoring high quality growth companies. We are actively seeking members who share our vision and will contribute to our process.

If you seem to be a good fit, you will be contacted by our professional staff to discuss next steps, which will include meeting some members , attending at least one of our meetings, and submitting an application. There is no business solicitation allowed among members of the First State Angels.

Provides an online and in-person forum for Investors to network, share deals and invest with other high-net-worth individuals.
Provides members access to our Angel Investor Classes, giving both seasoned and novice investors the most current strategies in term sheet development, negotiation, valuation, due diligence and best practices in angel investing.
Provides a unique and proprietary source of vetted and screened deals through its extensive network of Venture Capital Funds and Angel Groups around the country.
Provide unique opportunities to invest in emerging companies. Deal sourcing, due diligence, deal negotiation and monitoring are performed by a committee of members with the help and guidance of our experienced team.
Meetings are scheduled bi-monthly and members will soon be able to participate virtually. Members can watch company presentations, ask questions and interact with fellow members. After meetings, investors that are interested will be brought together to pursue each opportunity.
First State Angels is a professionally managed Angel Group with a full-time staff to coordinate member meetings, entrepreneur presentations and follow-up, investment coordination, legal management, term sheet negotiation, educational seminars, due diligence, deal screening and quarterly networking retreats and activities.
- Are all accredited investors (according to SEC rules– see below).
- Have track records managing and building successful companies either as entrepreneurs or operating executives.
- Form an extensive peer network of domain expertise and contacts for subsequent funding, talent and technology.
- Dedicate time and effort to FSA activities, including attending meetings and screening sessions, identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, and serving on FSA committees.
- Understand the risk associated with angel investing.
